psoriasis arthritis is an inflammation of the skin and joints leading to acute joint pain, rough and dry skin areas and a scratchy sensation. Khadira rasa – Juice of Khadira plant (Acacia catechu) extracted from its wood, leaves and roots. Internal application of Khadira rasa mixed with juice of Indian gooseberry, ghee and honey gives amazing results internally.

  • Nimbadi Kalka – Consuming a mixture of Neem leaves and Indian gooseberry.
  • Vidangadi Kalka – Paste of Vidanga (Embeliaribes) and Bakuchi (Psoraleacorylifolia).
  • VidangadiChurna – Dried form of Vidanga (Embeliaribes), Amalaki (Emblicaofficinalis), Haritaki (Terminaliachebula), Bibhitaki (Terminaliabellirica), Pippali (long pepper) mixed in hot oil.

Panchakarma is another regimen comprised of five therapies for cleansing the body of toxins. Purification of the body has these methods in Panchakarma:

  • Snehapana –Medicated ghee and oil application.
  • Swedana –Steaming
  • Vamana – Induced vomiting for body detoxification.
  • Virechana – Cleansing of the GI tract by Panchakarma sequence.
  • NiruhaVasti– Herbal decoction like enema mixed with honey, rock salt etc are administered through anal route.

The panchakarma treatments are designed to keep toxins in check and they build a usual routine to flush these toxins out of body before they make the blood impure.
